We are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our data team. You will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools like python excel and SQL and databases(SQL/No-SQL)
Your responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze data to generate actionable insights for the business.
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable and actionable format.
- Utilize Python for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with different departments to support their data needs and projects.
- Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
- Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Skill sets/Experience we require:
- Bachelors’ degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or Engineering
- Proven working experience of up to 2 years as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Experience working with engineering systems data or IOT data.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using advanced Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Experience with data visualization tool like Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
