• Designing motor control algorithms for traction and non-traction applications.
  • Work with various PWM schemes such as space vector and discontinuous modulation.
  • Work on various control techniques such as torque control techniques such as field-oriented control and direct torque control.
  • Test the motor and inverter to verify the model and controller design
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support design and projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis to achieve timely and robust issue resolution
  • Test/benchmark designs against the standards

Skills and qualification 
  • Basic proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++
  • Modelling and control system design 
  • Must know Various motor technologies including some or all of the motor BLDC motors, PMSM, Induction Motors, and Switched reluctance Motors.
  • Strong fundamentals of AC electric motors and drive systems analysis, modelling and control
  • Solid background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design, Basic proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++
  • At least a Master in EE/ME/Mechatronics or equivalent, and greater than 5 years of experience in the implementation of controls in traction motor or other inverter-fed drives
